Fatigue and stress was crushing that afternoon after a day struggling with customer audits which is draining a lot of energy and thoughts. I was racing my old bike out of the Batamindo Industrial Park (BIP) where the company I work for is located. When I passes through the field of Wisma Batamindo at gate 2 of BIP, I see a lot of birds starling and white stork looking for food in the vast verdant lawns that. I steered the direction of the motorcycle to the side of the road and stepped into the seat lined up on the sidelines. Field of Wisma Batamindo indeed provided the seat of the cement canopy that is safe from the heat and rain.
From the seat all the way out the gate 2 of BIP I could see some white stork and a cool collection of starling birds foraging. Today’s Batam being the rainy season, and the rainy season is usually a lot of Stork that come on to the field of Wisma Batamindo. And it is becoming its own entertainment for the workers in the Batamindo Industrial Park.
Then I stepped to the other side of the field. On the side of the road in front of the Wisma Batamindo there is sidewalk commonly used by pedestrians who want to go to the Wisma Batamindo or the Plaza Batamindo and also to restaurants or cafes along the front of the Wisma Batamindo. Along both sides of the road grew large tamarind trees have decades aged. The large trees along the way that makes the field of Wisma Batamindo is so shady. No wonder this place all day is used for hangout especially when after working hours until the evening, many young couples to spend time here.
