Not everyone knows if there is a deer breeding spot in Batam. It’s not a zoo, because there is only one kind of animal here, the deer, and it’s only a few them. Nonetheless, this place could be a pretty interesting place in Batam, cause Batam has no zoo, especially for the kids who haven’t see an animals before. But, there is also forest spot which look a like a mini zoo in Mata Kucing Forest Tourism, Tiban, but it still only have little collection of animals.
How to get here
These deer’s are belong to Otorita Batam which is an Authority of Batam. Which is located at Sekupang, on the Riau Brimobda Headquarters, Madura st. about 400 meters before the Sekupang Ferry Terminal gate and then turn right, it’s right at the opposite of Otorita Batam Guest House. Because of this is isolated place and also has no nameplate, that’s why not all of Batam people know this place.
There are approximately 20 deer inside the fence area of approximately 30 square meters. In this area also have a jogging track and PIKORI from Batam Authority. The Jogging track have approximately 400 meters around the area shady, lush and overgrown by trees, because the forests here are left natural and manicured.
There are also many people who use it for jogging together in the afternoon. And because of the landscape that is still natural, many people are coming to take pictures, and some even use it for pre-wedding photos.
