HARRIS Resort Barelang Batam
HARRIS Resort Barelang Batam is the newest resort in Batam under Tauzia Hotel Management, as well as HARRIS Resort Waterfront and HARRIS Hotel Batam Center. The concept of this resort is for business and leisure at the mid-market level. The goal is to provide something more than just a hotel and resort, but also a lifestyle.
This resort located right before the 1st bridge of Barelang, on the right side of the road. At its entrance gate written HARRIS Resort Barelang with an elegant blend of white and green. It is quite big so you won’t missed it.
HARRIS Resort Barelang Batam has an overall area of about 10 hectares with a capacity of 173 rooms divided into several categories based on its view. The rooms are divided into rooms with views towards the sea with total 68 rooms, 16 rooms facing towards the pool, 81 rooms overlooking the garden, 6 suites, and 2 villas.
When viewed from bird view, the landscape of these rooms looks like a U shape with a blend of orange blue and green like aerial photo shot below.
From the entrance gate, we will be treated to the magnificent views of the first barelang bridge, Tengku Fisabilillah on the left side, complete with a green garden that spread all the way to the resort.
About 200 meters from the entrance gate, you will enter the second entrance just before the multipurpose building or function hall of HARRIS Resort Barelang Batam. After that, the journey continues towards the main building as well as lobby resort which looks very slick and of course, instagrammable.
The lobby is very large and spacious with direct views towards the resort and the sea. From here you can see almost all the resort facilities, including the beach. Just one floor below the lobby is a restaurant. Down one floor, then you will immediately move to a wide open space and green where all the exciting activities at HARRIS Resort Barelang Batam begins.
Set foot out of the main building, there is 24 Feet Cafe where the café provides food and beverages aka snack to relax and enjoy the resort and the sea. Price? Quite affordable and varied. Beside of the building on the right and left side is a lounge with open and relaxed concept. I guaranteed, you’ll feel at home hanging out and have a long chit-chat over here.
Not far from the main building, there is large children’s pool. And at this resort, there are not only 1 or 2 swimming pools, but there are 3! Children pool plus a water playground and Dyno Kids Club is located at level 1, then adult pool at level 2 and infinity pool plus at level 3 just right beside adult pool, a bit downward facing directly to the beach.
Final destination, there is a wide beach for relaxing and sunbathing. Then, what about other activities Well, there are also other facilities for activity or exercise, sport and watersport. There is ATVs, jogging tracks and bicycles. Bicycles are provided near the Dyno Kids Club.
For those who want to hold meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions and other events, HARRIS Resort Barelang Batam also provides function hall with capacity of 500 people with 8 rooms.
Staycation at HARRIS Resort Barelang
A while time ago we got a chance to stay at this resort. It was cloudy afternoon when we reach HARRIS Resort Barelang Batam, but we are still very excited to come to enjoy HARRIS experience in this new resort by Tauzia Hotels.
Our room was in room 207 which is located on the left of the main building. Quite far also when to go on foot, especially when carrying a lot of goods, like us.
But don’t worry, HARRIS really understand how to pamper his guest. Buggy cars has been provided in the lobby courtyard to take guests to their rooms, assisted by friendly staff. Yes, HARRIS is famous for its super friendly staff and ready to help anytime. Their service is top!
The rooms at this HARRIS are in terraced mode. Our room in room number 207 was on the second level overlooking the pool and garden view.
Entering our room, we were greeted by a very spacious and clean room decorated with orange-colored HARRIS accents. Do not miss the HARRIS bolsters who always asking for a hug. And yes! We pleased to give it a hug all night long. All rooms in this resort is a non-smoking room so that the freshness of the room is well-maintained, especially someone like us who is non-smokers and bring kids.

Then how about who smokes? No worry. Each room has a balcony or terrace if your room is on first floor. You can smokes outside.
The surroundings rooms are so beautiful with green and shady trees. In-room amenities just like most resorts, such as the 42-inch IP Smart TV with cable television and international satellite channels, IDD telephone, sofa, safe, self-controlled air conditioning, mini bar, coffee & tea maker, and most importantly: high speed internet.
Breakfast and activities
The place for breakfast is right under the lobby, one level below. The atmosphere is cool with warm ambiance. The restaurant is half-open with the main stairway that overlooks the resort and the glass wall around the room so that you can enjoy directly to the scenery.
HARRIS carries the theme and concept of “Healthy Life”. So, for the food and drinks served in this restaurant all healthy without MSG. Many food and beverage options are available at the restaurant, such as rice and a variety of side dishes, bread, salads, breads and cakes, live cooking noodles and meatballs, fresh cut fruit, porridge, herbs, rounds, juices, and much more!
After breakfast, time for activities. For those who bring families and children, like us, swimming pools are the main event. Like, you know, kids loves to play with water. As soon as we returned from the restaurant, we dropped by our room to change.
Kids pool is indeed exciting. Not only the swimming pool is spacious and textured ramps, right beside it there is a fun water playground so we can play water shoot, next to it also available playground and Dyno Kids Club, place to learn and play (non-wet). Our children did not quickly get bored because they can move to those three spots to play.
So excited, we as parents also get excited playing with our children. Really quality time, right? So excited, we have not even had time to stop by the beach. Hihihi.

Harris Barelang ini kayaknya lagi benar-benar jadi idola di Batam ya. Di wall facabook sering banget yang lewat lagi pada liburan ke situ. Tapi memang keren banget sih nggak cuma bangunannya, view nya juga dapet banget untuk staycation di Batam.
