Nongsa Challenge is back! Now are in the 3rd year of this event. This bike race will be held on 27th August 2017. This 3rd Nongsa Challenge event is collaboration between Cycosports Singapore, Turi Beach Resort and supported by Wonderful Indonesia, Riau Islands and Batam Tourism Office. In the past, Nongsa Challenge has proven to be a very competitive race and lives up to the name as “challenging” because of its hills and the continuous breaks in the peloton.
What categories in 3rd Nongsa Challenge
This year, 3rd Nongsa Challenge race has been divided into age categories. There are grouped into 3 Pelotons.
Being a circuit race such a setup is possible as everyone can still get water and wheel support easily.
The race route will be the same as last year, leaving from Batam Centre and heading out to the Nongsa Circuit.
1st Peloton will starts at 8 AM from Batam Center and will finish at Turi Beach Resort. Peloton 1 & 2 will have 103km at 7 Laps, while Peloton 3 will have 79km at 5 laps.
This 3rd Nongsa Challenge will be joined by 120 cyclists from 18 countries, such as Singapore, Australia , United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium, Japan, India, Malaysia, United States, Denmark, and Canada.
This event will have many professionals and serious bike racers. Professional sectors include banking, insurance, marine, bio-tech and construction. Majority of them reside in Singapore.

The Challenge
Cycosports is back to Nongsa, a tried and tested race route that Cycosports launched in 2014. Cycosports is an event organizer specializing in competitive and sportif cycling races on the road and mountain bike / cyclo-cross. It’s sure to challenge even the fittest and is a great precursor to upcoming races in the region. This Nongsa circuit is a 12km loop with each loop having 175m of climbing.
The race will be timed, laps counted electronically, there will be full mechanical support, water and electrolytes and Singapore medics on hand with medivac procedures in place for emergency medical cases.
The lunch and prize giving ceremony will be held in Turi Beach Resort.
