For the umpteenth time, ASEAN Jazz Festival 2013 will be held back in Batam on 20 – 21 September, 2013, as the previous year organizing, this year will be held at the Harbour Bay again. With the convening of the ASEAN Jazz Festival this year means that this event has been held 6 times continously.

The famous musicians will collaborate to showcase the best jazz music expression. During the festival, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy a unique fusion between jazz grooves using modern instruments with several different sounds of traditional musical instruments from around the Indonesian archipelago.
ASEAN Jazz Festival event is the initiation of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Republic of Indonesia in order to increase tourist visits, especially for tourists from ASEAN countries such as Singapore and Malaysia. Batam City chosen as the organizer of this event is to facilitate access for travelers from ASEAN countries because of Batam can be accessed from Singapore within 1 hour and from Malaysia about 1.5 hours only.
