Engku Putri Center Park located at Batam Government Central, Batam Center, where all of government and economic activities runs. This Center Park were rounded by government buildings such as Mayor Office, Parliament Office, Immigration, Police Department Office and Bank Indonesia, so for paperwork administration can be done in one place, one stop service. In addition, around the Center Park, also lies shopping facilities (Mega Mall Batam Center), a place to stay (Harris Hotel), ports (Batam Center Ferry International Terminal) and places of worship (Batam Great Mosque and Hajj).
On the Engku Putri Center Park, there are so many facilities provided by the government, so the people of Batam are coming to the plaza for activities or just strolling. Located right on the page of Mayor’s Office, in the middle of the square is a vast parade ground star patterned with bright color, with a permanent stage on the north side of the field.
On the north side, there is an outdoor soccer field also known as futsal and basketball courts used for the public. At the side of basketball courts, there is Skate Park for the skaters’ community known as Bascom (Batam Skater community) to practice together and share their skateboard techniques. At these points, many young people gather every day with their hobby. Sometimes they are members of a community of fellow lovers of a hobby or a particular favorite.

On the west, there is a climbing wall that was built for nature lovers, especially in the field of rock climbing. And on the south of the square, there is an internet park that provides internet facilities for the public interest which is operates for 24 hours.
Every morning or afternoon a lot of Batam people come to Engku Putri for just jogging or working out, so the atmosphere is always lively in the Engku Putri Center Park.
